Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox attended Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She was a harpsichord student as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. She managed to make it by surviving on a student stipend, and work part-time jobs. Lennox was not satisfied with the level of her performance compared with others at the Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox started her professional career in the year 1976 in the group called Dragons Playground. The group broke up before they appeared in I.T.V's talent program New Faces. She was the singer of The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until 1980. They met Dave Stewart, with whom she would form the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to record her debut solo album Diva. This was released in 1992. The album had a tremendous success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo record was released in November 2014. The C.D. Lennox selected her favorites soul jazz blues tracks from childhood. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox published Lepidoptera a collection of four improvised piano tracks. The E.P. is an accompanying piece to her art installation in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled"Now I'll Let You go... It's also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox (born December 25 in 1954) is an artist from Scotland. Scottish musician and political activist. After a brief success as a member of the new wave band The Tourists in the late 1970s, she and her fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to become internationally renowned as the pop duo Eurythmics in the 1980s. In 1992 Lennox started her own solo career, releasing their debut record Diva with a variety of successful songs includingWhy andWalking through Broken Glass. Medusa a studio album that was released in 1995 features songs that are re-imagined from her biggest hits, such as No MoreI Always Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). The singer has released six solo studio and compilation albums.
